The former Yacka Uniting Church has now closed and the property has been sold (2019?). The church had been part of the Wimala Presbytery and the Uniting Church Synod of South Australia. Prior to closure it had functioned in conjunction with the Gulnare Uniting Church. The church was opened in 1881 for the Wesleyan Methodist Church which became part of the Methodist Church, at Union in 1900, and part of the Uniting Church in 1977. The Church celebrated its centenary as the Yacka Uniting Church on 5/4/1981, although services had been held in the district from at least 1875. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 9/4/2025.
