Comments

The former St David's Mission Church, Hobart closed in 1956. The chapel had initially been established as an extension of the outreach of St David's Cathedral, to the poorer and more disreputable part of the city. The chapel building was opened on 12/7/1885 and closed in 1914, largely impacted by the decline of the area as a residential location and the increase in the number of churches in the district. In 1915 the Anglican Church gave the building to the Mission to Seaman, which operated in it until 1956. More additional information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 11/2/2025.
