| Foundation Stone Notes: | Foundation stone laid on 16/9/1896 by Mr Shaw. The text on the foundation stone is not known. Information/photographs are invited. Note: Email received dated 23/6/2021 from Jill Appleyard states: 'I have the diary of my great grandmother Mary Garret (1873-1943) who was present at the laying of the foundation stone by a Mr Shaw on Wednesday 16 September 1896. "Mr Shaw came up by morning train. After dinner the Foundation Stone of the Church was laid, a Draper's and Grocer's excursion train came about 20 past 4. Refreshments were ready in the shed by the school. Mr Shaw, Mr Brownell, Mr W Shoobridge, Mr Salter all spoke & Mr Bridgewood gave the opening prayer. Mr Shaw laid the stone. Everything went off very well."' |

The former Glenora Uniting Church closed in the early 1990s, and the property is now privately owned. The church bulding was opened in December 1896 by the Rev W Shaw. No other details are known.
