The Sheffield Bible Chapel, is a member of the network of churches known as Christian Community Churches of Australia. The present chapel building is the third hall erected for the fellowship, and the first in High Street. It was opened on 6/6/1931 to replace the earlier halls built in Kentish Street. The first hall was opened in the late 1870s by the Plymouth Brethren. It was replaced by a new hall opened on 26/12/ 1925, which was unfortunately destroyed by fire in October 1930. A site for the present hall was subsequently purchased in High Street. Over the years the hall has been extended and the weatherboard sides of the hall replaced with bricks. The murals have been added to the building in line with the rest of the town, with the ones on the chapel depicting biblical themes.
