The former Salvation Army - Sheffield Barracks closed many years ago (date unknown), and the property is now privately owned. The Salvation Army began activities/meetings in Sheffield in the 1890s, with the early meetings held in the Roland Hall. The first barracks was opened in November 1893, although the exact location is not known. This building was relocated about 1917 to the present address in Main Street. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former barracks/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 7/4/2023.
