The Wynyard Baptist Church is a member of the Baptist Union of Tasmania. The beginning of the Wynyard church is associated with a mission held there in 1905, and encouraging attendances leading to the erection of the first church building, which was opened on 6/9/1908. This building is now the church hall, although modified and extended over the years to meet the needs of the congregation. The present church building was erected in the 1970s, across Hogg Street, from the original building. More historical informaton/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
