The Deloraine Baptist Church is a member of the Baptist Union of Tasmania. The church building was funded by the Gibson Family, who were instrumental in the establishment of Baptist churches in Hobart, Launceston and other towns across Tasmania. The church building was opened on 5/12/1880 by the Rev Thomas Spurgeon, son of the well known Baptist preacher, Charles Hadden Spurgeon of London.
