The Longford Uniting Church is part of the Presbytery of Tasmania and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The first church building was the Longford Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, erected in Wellington Street in 1837. The land for the church was donated by Mr Joseph Heazlewood. However, due to poor quality construction repairs or replacement were soon under consideration. This resulted in the present church being erected and opened in High Street, in 1880. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 13/6/2023.
