St Finn Barr's Catholic Church - Former

The former St Finn Barr's Catholic Church, Strahan has closed, and the proprerty was sold in 2005. It was part of the West Coast Parish and the Diocese of Hobart. Catholic Mass in Strahan was celebrated in the Court House from the mid 1870s, until the present building was opened on 10/6/1900, by Archbishop Patrick Delany of Hobart. The Catholic congregation now meet in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Strahan (see separate entry - 7468). More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
