Church of St Mark

The Church of St Mark (formerly St Mark's Anglican Church), Elmhurst is part of the Parish of Maryborough with Avoca and the Diocese of Bendigo. The church building is now used by both Anglican and Uniting Church congregations. The original church building was erected about 1879, with further additions in 1913. The building is unique in that it was co-owned with the Presbyterian Church, who shared the use of the buildings and their maintenance. With the formation of the Uniting Church in 1977, combining the Presbyterians, Methodists and Congregationalists, it is now co-owned with the Uniting Church Parish of Ararat.
