Dunkeld Uniting Church - Former

The former Dunkeld Uniting Church has now closed (2012), and the property was sold (2013). The first Wesleyan service in Dunkeld was held about 1864 in a private home, and conducted by the Rev James W Tuckfield from Penshurst. The current church building was opened on 17/1/1914, and replaced an earlier timber structure, erected on the same site about 1867. The church had been part of the Presbytery of Western Victoria and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The present Dunkeld Uniting Church congregation now meets in the Chapel Space in the Community Centre (see separate entry - 3294).
