A plaque records: A.M.D.G. - This new St Mary's was consecrated on - Friday 14th February 2014 - by - The Right Reverend Andrew Curnow AM - Bishop of Bendigo - Rector Canon Bryn Jones. A commemorative seat in the grounds records: To the memory of Rev George Elliot Roper - 1883 -1947. From his descendants. Parish Priest 1946-1947.

The St Mary's Anglican Church, Kangaroo Flat is part of the Parish of Kangaroo Flat and the Diocese of Bendigo. The present church building was opened on 14/2/2014, and replaced the first church building opened on 30/10/1862, although it had been extensively extended and renovated a number of times over the years, to meet the needs of the congregation.
