South Geelong Uniting Church - Former

This former South Geelong Uniting Church is now closed, and the property is now privately owned. The final service held on 30/3/2014. Mr Albert  Renshaw, 97, who first attended the church in the 1920's closed the door of the church for the last time. The church had been worshipping at this site for 145 years. The closing thanksgiving service was conducted by the Rev Bert Bell, a previous minister of the church. The church hall, at the rear known as the "Albert Renshaw Hall" is likely to be demolished. On the day of photographing (4/10/2014)  the church building was completely surrounded by cars and closed, although a note on door invited people to congregational worship at 9.30 on Sundays.
