The St John's Anglican Church, Heathcote is in the Parish of Heathcote and the Diocese of Bendigo. St John's Anglican Church, is the only church building in Heathcote, still standing on the site granted by the Government in the land sale of 1853/54. The smaller Budd Hall was the original church building, first named Christ Church and built in 1854. Although it has undergone renovations, it remains one of the oldest buildings in the town, named after the Rev Theodore Budd, minister from 1856-67.
The present church building was opened on 3/10/1869 and consecrated on 14/8/1889.
More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs upladed 15/3/2017 & 29/4/2021.
