The Our Lady of Perpetual Succour & St Andrew's Catholic Church, Hampton, is a Mass Centre for the Society of Saint Pius X, which sits outside the formal Catholic Church. It was founded by 'Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre - a man of the Church, missionary, founder of the SSPX, - a man who helped preserve the tradition of the Church after Vatican II." (Sourced from: https://sspx.com.au/en). The church building was previously the St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, which became redundant when it joined the Uniting Church. It was initially leased by the SSPX in October 1980, taking ownership in October 1985. The building still bears the Cross of St Andrew on the frontwall (Sourced from: http://oztraditionalcatholic.blogspot.com/2015/09/st-andrews.html). More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 28/4/2022.
