The St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Kerang is part of the Swan Hill Kerang Presbyterian Church and the Presbytery of North Western Victoria. The first Presbyterian services at Kerang were held in the early 1880s. The were initially held in private homes and then in the former Mechanics Institute. The first resident minister was the Rev J H Shalberg. The present church building was opened on 24/7/1892, and the Sunday School Hall built in 1912. The congregation and the church building became part of the Uniting Church in 1977. For nine years there was no Presbyterian Church in Kerang. Services recommenced on 16/3/1986 with the support of the Swan Hill Presbyterain Church, using the RSL rooms. At the beginning of 1990 the St Andrew's church building was rented from the Uniting Church, with the building bought about 1994. Until 1991, a joint Swan Hill Kerang Session was responsible for the church, at which time the congregation appointed its own Session.
