The former Malmsbury Uniting Church closed about 2000, and the property was sold in 2001. The church had functioned in conjunction with the St Andrew's Uniting Church, Kyneton, and had been part of the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The church building had been erected about 1873 for the Presbyterian Church. Earlier services having been held in the Mechanics Institute.
