The former St Andrew's Uniting Church is now privately owned. "From as early as 1842 Presbyterian services were held in private homes and at the 'Farmers Arms' Inn at Merino until the church was built." (Extract

The afternoon service was given in Gaelic by the Rev McCulman, in recognition of the large number of Scottish emigrants.
