In 1925 Rev Fraser Sutherland took up the inaugural minister's position in this church, then the Pesbyterian Church. He described is as ...'a worthy looking building containing good and comfortable furniture...I have special pride that my mother gave the pulpit chair". - Presbyterians had held their services in Manangatang in 1922 in a local home, and then the Methodist Church. Funds for this building were raised in 1925 at the first Spring Fair held in the Manangatang Hall. - From 1962 the Methodist Congretgation used the Presbyterian Church for their services. The Uniting Church of Australia absorbed the Methodist and the majority of Presbyterian and Congregational Churches throughout the country in 1977. (Added 25/7/2022). |

The Manangatang Uniting Church is part of the Eastern Mallee Rural Parish and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The church building was opened for the Presbyterian Church in 1925, with earlier services being held in private homes and the Methodist Church. The Methodist congregation joined this church from about 1962, until the formation of the Uniting Church in 1977. No other details are known.
