Lake Charm Baptist Church - Former

The former Lake Charm Baptist Church building was opened on 1/4/1913, and closed about 1997. However, the church work was begun about 1877 by the Rev George Slade, who travelled the district on foot, until Mr Rutherford of Quambatook gave him a horse, sadle and bridle. Early services were conducted in private homes and the Kangaroo Inn and then from 1892 in the new Lake Charm Hall. The 1913 church building was erected between the Hall and school, being moved to the present site, on the Murray Valley Highway in 1949. No other details are known.
