St Joseph's Catholic Church - Former

The former St Joseph's Catholic Church, Lake Boga closed in 2021, with a thanksgiving service, attended by Bishop Paul Bird of Ballarat. The property was sold in May 2022. The church was in the Parish of Northeast Mallee and the Diocese of Ballarat. The first Priest is reported to have visited Lake Boga in 1865. The first church building was opened in 1898 at the cnr of Lalbert Rd & Tyrell St, and used until it was destroyed by fire in 1981. In 1982 the church purchased the former Presbyterian church building in Kunat St, which had been built in 1912, and it became the new St Joseph's.
