The St Katherine's Anglican Church, McCrae is part of the Parish of Rosebud-McCrae and the Diocese of Melbourne. St Katherine's began in 1947 as a Sunday School, with classes initially held in private homes. In 1952 a fisherman's cottage was acquired and relocated to the present site, which was donated by Mrs Charlotte Gray, in memory of her young niece Katherine Gray who died tragically in 1946. As the Sunday School grew extensions were added to the building in 1956. The first church service in St Katherine's was held on 10/3/1957, and conducted by the Rev White. The Narthex was opened on 16/4/1978 with futher extensions carried out in the 1980s. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 5/2/2023.
