A commemorative stone records: To the glory of God - This tablet unveiled by - W J K Dunstan -  April 1963 - To commemorate the setting of - the foundation stone of this church - by Revs W Brinks & D Strongman - 4th March 1867.

Engraved in cement rendering on front of church: Wesleyan Church 1867.

A plaque records: This tree - was planted by - Rev Lewis E Barnard - Centenary Celebration - April 1963.

A plaque on two seats in front of the church records: Donated by - Constance E Blomeley - July 1988.

A large stone tablet on the front of the hall records: Wesleyan - Sunday School - This Memorial Stone - was laid by the - Hon David Ham MLC - 10th Octr 1890 - "That our sons may be as plants - grown up in their youth;  that our - daughters may be as corner stones, - polished after the similitude of a palace".  Psalm CXLIV 12

The former Pleasant Street Uniting Church, Ballarat was part of the Presbytery of Western Victoria and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The church is now closed, and the property was sold in September 2019. The church was built in the1880s. No other details are known about the former church. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 11/3/2017.

Four memorial inscriptions below:

(1) To the glory of God - in - loving memory of - William Ellis - an officer, leader and faithful - worker in this church - for fifty years - died October, 25th 1918 - A man greatly beloved: Daniel X.II

(2)To the glory of God - and - to honour the menory of - Ada May Kennedy - who for 25 years - worshipped God in this church - A life made beautiful by kindly deeds - She gave her best in devoted service - until God called her home on - 12th November 1939 - Erected by her husband, George Kennedy, and family.

(3) To the glory of God - a tribute to - the memory of - Elizabeth Quine - a devoted teacher and worker - in the Sunday School and - church for 70 years - Died August 30th 1941. - "Supreme in Godly service".

(4) In loving memory of - Joseph Wilson - who worshipped here - for 58 years - until his death in 1949 - aged 86 years - also his beloved wife - Mary Elizabeth - called home in 1953 - aged 84 years - at rest.
