The current St Anne's Catholic Church, Purnim was built in 1940. There is no record of when the original St Anne's Catholic Church was built, other than it was being used as a school and a church prior to 1863 and was extended in 1885. The original wooden building served the community for seventy five years, until it was relpaced in 1940 (See church website:
