The St George's Anglican Church, Red Hill held its first recorded Anglican Service in the Mechanics Hall in March 1948. The Red Hill School was purchased in 1955 and transformed into a place of worship. It was dedicated on 29/10/1955 by Archbishop Booth.
In 1977 the Main Ridge Methodist Church building was gifted to St George's by the Uniting Church. In 1978, St George's services moved to the site behind the church hall. [See Church Website - http://www.redhill.melbourneanglican.org.au/].
