Holy Trinity Anglican Church was built in 1887 on land donated by Mr Edward Pearce. It was planned to open the church on 6/11/1887, but due to severe flooding the congregation could not reach the church. As a consequence the opening service was held in the nearby Humberstone's Hall (the local hotel). The first service in the church was held on 19/11/1887 with a large congregation.
