St Bartholomew's Anglican Church

The St Barthholomew's Anglican Church, Richmond is part of the Parish of Burnley and the Diocese of Melbourne. The church was founded in 1885, and a wooden church building erected on cnr Swan and Burnley Streets, was opened on 22/1/1885. Due to growth in the congregation a larger brick building was erected/opened in 1910, and the original building became the church hall. With increased industrialisation near the church site and the closeness to the train station, the church relocated to its present site in 1925. The present church building, on the new site, was opened on 27/10 1926. The church is Anglo-Catholic in tradition. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
