Comments

The Tennyson Uniting Church closed some time ago, and the property is now privately owned. The buildings consisted of two former church buildings located from elsewhere. The building which had been used by the Pinegrove Methodist Church from 1895 to 1967, was moved from Pinegrove to Tennyson, to land donated by Ron Seabrook, in 1967. It had originally been opened at Pinegrove on 3/2/1895.  The Pinegrove church had closed in 1956 due to flooding, and permanently in 1958/59, until it was moved in 1967, after its 71st anniversary. The Muskerry East Methodist Church was moved to the site in 1969, and became the Sunday School Hall. More historical information/photographs of the former church(es)/congregation(s) are invited. Photographs uploaded 09/06/2016 & 7/10/2022.
