St Mark's Anglican Church, Templestowe is part of the Parish of Templestowe and the Diocese of Melbourne.

In 1854 Church of England services were held in a school building located on the corner of High Street and Foote Street. The school was formally licensed as a place of worship in 1871.

A new wooden church was erected and opened on 8/11/1900, on land purchased on the corner of Glendale Avenue and Foote Street. The name 'Christ Church' was used from about 1903.

The last service was held in the Christ Church building on Good Friday 28/3/1975. The original Christ Church building is now used by another organisation in Lower Plenty.

The first service in the new church building constructed on the corner of High Street and Dellfield Drive, was held on Easter Sunday 30/3/1975. The new church was named St Mark's.

St Mark's celebrated its 40th anniversary on 25/4/2015. (see http://stm.org.au/useful-links/history/ for fuller story).

More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 3/11/2017.
