The former St Thomas' Anglican Church, Toora is now closed, and the property was sold in October 2022. The church was part of the Parish of Corner Inlet, and the Diocese of Gippsland. The church building was erected in two stages, the first being opened on 15/12/1892 by the Bishop of Gippsland, having been erected on land donated by Mr Stanley Sheppard in November 1889. The second stage of the building was opened in June 1910. A porch and vestry were added later to meet the needs of the congregation. The church hall was erected and opened in 1932, on the 40th anniversary of the church opening, by Archdeacon Adeney. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 10/11/2022.
