The Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Beagle Bay is part of the Parish of Dampier Peninsula and the Diocese of Broome. It was built largely by German Internees, with construction beginning in 1915. The church building was dedicated by Father John Creagh and Father Thomas Bachmair on 15/8/1918. The altar is almost entirely made by shells, 'Mother of Pearl' . In September 2000 the steeple was destroyed in a cyclone, but being an important part of the community has been fully rebuilt. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 16/11/2018 & 19/9/2021.
