The Peoples Church, Kalgoorlie was a former church building, which is now open to the public and is a venue for community functions. The church began when Congregational services were first held in Kalgoorlie in 1895, with the St Paul's Congregational Church building being opened on 22/5/1900. In 1950 St Paul's united with St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, in Cassidy Street, to form the St Paul's Presbyterian/Congregational Church. In 1972 the Presbyterian/Congregational Churches in Kalgoorlie and Boulder united with Eastern Goldfields Central Methodist Mission to form the Eastern Goldfields United Church Mission. In June 1977 it became part of the Uniting Church. It is not known if services are still held in this building. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 6/5/2024.
[Information about this church and the current Kalgoorlie/Boulder Uniting Church in Egon/Porter Streets is confusing. Correction of this entry is welcome].
