Comments
The Kalgoorlie Baptist Church is a member of Baptist Churches Western Australia. A Baptist church first opened in Kalgoorlie in October 1898, holding its meetings in the Friendly Societies Hall in Porter Street, but closed in 1905, due to dwindling numbers. In July 1965 a new fellowship began, being formally welcomed into the Baptist Union in November 1965. A small church building was opened on 17/3/1974, to which many additions/alterations have been made to meet the developing needs of the congregation. The Goldfields Baptist College was established in 2000. The present auditorium was completed in 20091. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
