The St Paul's Anglican Church, Munglinup is part of the Parish of Esperance and the Diocese of Perth. When farming began in the Munglinup district, it was remote and challenging, but the population wished to build a community, not relying on distant Esperance. When the Rev Denis Bryant began church services in 1961, they were held in sheds or homes, but the local people were keen for their own church building. Using much ingenuity in their fundraising efforts, the Church of St Paul was built in 1967 and consecrated on 27/8/1967 by the Right Rev C E B Muschamp, Bishop of Kalgoorlie. With changes in farming methods and fewer local people, services declined, and are now only held when a month has a fifth Sunday. The church building is now maintained by the Munglinup Community Group [Sourced from: http://www.esperance.perth.anglican.org/history/]. A sign board indicates the building is also used for Mass by the local Catholic community. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
