The former Christ the King Catholic Church, Marble Bar was destroyed by fire on 11/11/2016. The church building, which had a wooden frame and was corrugated-iron clad, was erected in 1941. The building was designed in the shape of a cross and stood prominently on a hill on the outskirts of the town. The building had not been used for the celebration of Mass for some years [Sourced from: https://www.perthnow.com.au/news/wa/historic-wa-church-in-marble-bar-destroyed-by-fire-ng-3777a557dfed1a5db8e511f858b2ef1b].
