The Mundijong & District Comminity Church is part of the Uniting Church Synod of Western Australia. "Before 1900, the Wesleyan Methodist Church established the Jarrahdale Mission. The Jarrahdale Sawmilling company made grants to the Church to cover most of the cost of operating the Mission. In February 1897, Reserve 3863 was first gazetted for Church purposes. [Government Gazette, 26/2/1897, p. 368, file 749/97] However, although Wesleyan, the church was constructed in 1905 and opened in March 1906, as a Methodist Church (apparently the building was provided as a thankyou by timber workers for nurses during the polio epidemic - Sourced from: https://mfc.ucwa.au/about-us/). When the Methodist Church could no longer support a minister in the Jarrahdale Circuit, the area became part of the Pinjarra Circuit. In the 1960s, the Methodist Churches in Serpentine-Jarrahdale joined the Byford Presbyterian Church to form the North Murray United Parish. [Refer SJ1-02]

The church building is now used by the Mundijong and District Community Church". (Extract - http://inherit.stateheritage.wa.gov.au/Public/Inventory/Details/d31de4af-0008-438e-b047-9215e68fa092).

No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 1/7/2018.
