The former Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Miling property is no longer used.
"During 1923, the first mass was celebrated at the Burke Family home by Father Benedict Barranco. The East Miling School was soon the venue for four families in the district; Burkes, Arkells, Dedericks and Harringtons. Later mass was celebrated at the Miling Hall until the church was built. The church came about due to the efforts of the Moora Parish Priest, Dean Cameron.
On the 21st February 1954 the Rt Reverend Gomez blessed the foundation stone for the church. The stone was laid by His Excellency Most Reverend James Know, the apostolic delegate to the British East and west Africa. The church was opened and blessed on 11th July 1954 by the Rt Reverend Gomez the Abbot Nullus of New Norcia. It had cost 9000 pounds, a considerable sum of money at the time."
