Information panel records: St Andrews Church 1907 - This little building is the only corrugated iron church still in use in WA. It was originally built as a church hall for a tender of £92. It was used for meetings and entertainments as well as church meetings at which attendances were usually around 60. Store keeper Frank Lansell played his violin for services. Arthur Archer told how he used to walk 16kms through the bush from his farm to attend services on Sundays. The six contemporary stained glass windows were made by Mark Hewson. A new Alter and Lectern were made by Ivor Rowe from timbers salvaged from the old Hopetoun jetty |
